Our room, while not the largest, was comfortably equipped with an electric kettle and a flat-screen TV, ensuring basic conveniences were met. On arrival, we enjoyed tea and cake in the guest lounge—an inviting start to our stay. The communal dining experience for dinner proved to be a highlight, both for the quality of the meal and the chance to converse with fellow guests. At £25 for a four-course home-cooked meal, it presented excellent value compared to local dining options. The absence of free Wi-Fi in the rooms was a notable downside. Limited phone reception in the area can be challenging, and knowing there was a designated area for Wi-Fi access would have been helpful. Laskill offers a compelling value proposition for those prioritizing comfort and community over connectivity.
